TASAKI Ryosuke is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Science and Engineering, Aoyama Gakuin University. His research focuses on the intersection of intelligent robotics, manufacturing automation, and human-machine collaboration.

Dr. Tasaki received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Kyoto Institute of Technology, followed by Master and Doctoral degrees in Engineering from the Toyohashi University of Technology. Prior to joining Aoyama Gakuin University in 2019, he served as a researcher and Assistant Professor at the Toyohashi University of Technology (2011–2019).

Current Research Portfolio

  • Intelligent Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction: Development of advanced robotic systems for physical care and massage, incorporating human motion tracking, force feedback control, and visual-tactile integration.
  • Manufacturing and Production Engineering: Optimization of production processes, liquid manipulation, and quality control in mechanical systems.
  • Dynamic Process Control: Research into vibration control, casting processes, and automated path planning for industrial and robotic applications.

Awards & Recognition

Dr. Tasaki has been recognized for his contributions to the field, receiving awards such as the Young Author Best Paper Award at the 72nd World Foundry Congress (2016), a Junior Paper Award at APMF2017, and an Honorable Mention at the 2025 IEEE/ACM International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI2025) for his work on kneading-motion-based tactile feedback. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Japan Foundry Engineering Society and the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE).

Ts. Dr. Mohd Ashraf bin Ahmad is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). His research focuses on advanced control systems, specializing in data-driven and intelligent control methodologies for complex engineering applications.

Dr. Mohd Ashraf received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Mechatronics and a Master’s degree in Mechatronics and Automatic Control from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2006 and 2008, respectively. He later earned his Ph.D. in Informatics (Systems Science) from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2015.

Current Research Expertise

  • Control Theory and Systems: Expertise in model-free control, data-driven control, and nonlinear system identification.
  • Mechatronics and Robotics: Development and control of mechatronic systems, including active vibration control for cranes and robotic manipulators.
  • Optimization Algorithms: Application of intelligent algorithms (such as Archimedes, Marine Predators, and Sine Cosine algorithms) to optimize control engineering solutions.

Awards & Recognition

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Ashraf has earned significant international recognition for his research contributions, being consistently listed among the top 2% of the world's most-cited scientists by Stanford University from 2022 to 2025. He serves as an Associate Editor for several scholarly publications, including the International Journal of Robotics and Automation, Applications of Modelling and Simulation, and the Journal of Future Robot Life. He is a Professional Technologist registered with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and a member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM).
